Pictures & family visit (LEEDS PART 2)

Hello all,

This is a post is a follow-up of my previous entry. However, this one is mainly pictures. Enjoy!

I don’t like sweets, but I found this shop at market very cute. Leeds city market is nice!
We crossed the river (which one?) while on our way to the Royal Armouries Museum.
Answer: River Aire
There was a park close to our accomodation. I went for a run on a sunny day.
This green space was also next to our rooms. It used to be a cemetery…

No caption needed: this is just a (nice) house.
A street near the uni campus..
I don’t remember…maybe it’s the Queen?

My family came to Leeds at the end of the summer school. (They went to Manchester and Liverpool the days before that).

Taken from my hotel room.

On a very rainy day we went to York (without umbrellas). It was a nice place, but I just have pics from the few dry minutes:

That is all from York & Leeds… Perhaps it wasn’t the most glamorous trip, but…I enjoyed a lot those two days. I was very present, living in the moment, appreciating my family’s company.

As I was opening WordPress to write this entry, I came across something familiar on the reader page (from the blogs I follow). It turns out that I was following the blog of one of the speakers we had at the summer school, Peter Cameron, and he wrote about one of the courses we had there (and about us): Aliens Do Exist (very pure maths content warning note!).

Now I am back in Cambridge, to finish my research project. I had five weeks left after returning from Leeds (and less than four at the time of writing/publishing). I’ll try to keep updating!

Thanks a lot for reading!
