Bounds

This is a consistency productivity trick that I have seen mentioned before, but not enough. Having lower bounds for how much work of one type you get done each day/week/month is common (and helpful). But it is also helpful, yet uncommon, to have an upper bound, so that you don’t burn out. As an example, for me, an upper bound is reading (in detail) two papers per day. The corresponding lower bound is one paper per week, though I realistically aim for quite a bit more.
