Compartmental Models in epidemiology
The Archimedeans, 17th April 2020
Thanks to The Archimedeans (Cambridge University Mathematical Society) for hosting me.
The talk is a first introduction to epidemic models, covering the SIR, SIS, SEIR, SICR, etc models.
This was my first online talk – presenting without seeing people’s faces was a bit terrifying but nonetheless it was a fun experience!
If you watched the talk, I’d appreciate it if you could fill the feedback form – it really helps to know what works and what doesn’t.
This September, I will be running a more mathematical sequel to the talk and a similar talk aimed at biologist. Do check the mathematical sequel if you enjoyed this talk and would like to see more of that, with a mathematical approach. If you’d like a more applied approach and/or a review of the maths techniques that I skipped here, do check the biological one.
Finally, here are the slides of this talk:
Thank you!
